# Bucket Tool

> Fill enclosed areas of a shape with color.

Use the **Bucket Tool** to quickly change the solid fill color of a shape.

## Using the Bucket Tool

**Step 1**

Select the **Bucket Tool** or press <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>U</kbd>.

**Step 2**

Choose a color from the popup.

**Step 3**

Click an enclosed area of a shape to change the color of all its solid fills.

> The Bucket Tool only affects solid fills. It does not modify gradient fills or create a fill if one doesn't already exist.
